Ho's Kitchen: Fresh Seafood Delicacies

Wednesday, July 01, 2015

A few days ago, my family had a big lunch with my grandparents at Ho's Kitchen :)

Ho's Kitchen Seafood is a Chinese restaurant in Hong Kong style. They emphasize on getting and cooking fresh, raw ingredients such as Alaskan King crabs, lobsters and flatfish. The chef used to work in a 5 star hotel in Hong Kong so all the dishes are guaranteed to be very delicious.

There were water filled tanks containing various sea animals displayed in front of the restaurant. The chef get the meat from there which makes the seafood very fresh.

In terms of customer service, it was amazing and very professional. The waiters and waitresses were so efficient and polite!

Although I'm not a big fan of seafood, I enjoyed many of the dishes that were served. Plus, it was an opportunity to meet my sweet grandparents for the first time this summer holiday :)

"Seven colours dragon lobsters"
Flatfish (they look quite strange don't you think? XD)

Mr. crab
Our private room
Dim sum menu (we didn't order any tho,  maybe next time!)
Fried little fish as appetizer
Duck tongues.. DUCK TONGUES?! It's save to say that barely anyone ate it, including me of course.. I'm still not sure why my uncle ordered this..
Shark fin soup with crab meat (soupy part was very nice mhmm)
Abalones
The majestic looking "seven colour dragon lobster" sashimi
If you didn't want to eat the lobster raw, they boiled it for you. It was very fresh and delicious ^^
Claws claws claws
Remember the weird looking fish from earlier? That's him.
Fish meat
Chinese styled banana crepe for dessert

My rating: ●●●◌◌ (3/5)
Even though the restaurant lacked a bit of style and decoration, the food's great quality and freshness and the professional customer service totally made up for it.

    1. Mhm yes, most seafood restaurants in Thailand have the sea animals on display which means the seafood dishes are very very fresh, haha.

Gosh, I know right? XD I was slightly shocked and amused that there are people out there who actually eat duck tongues..
