A Must-Have Gadget for Travelers: Portable Charger

Saturday, July 11, 2015

Are you someone who loves to travel to new places, other countries, or even short distance trips like your favourite shopping mall? You must understand what a pain it is when your phone, tablet, camera or iPod runs out of battery, and you can't charge it.

Well traveller, you should definitely get this convenient, light, useful gadget - the portable charger.

Portable chargers can charge your electronic devices anywhere and anytime. There is a variety of capacities, shapes, weights and prices you can choose from.

I do not own these photos

In general, portable chargers are:
✔ Small and lightweight
✔ Can fully charge your device at least once
✔ Easy to use and carry around
✔ Perfect for people who travels often
✔ Perfect for people who tend to forget to charge their devices before leaving the house

Personally, I FIND THEM SO USEFUL. I've been using portable chargers for many years now, and they have saved my phones from going to 0% battery life. This allows me to use my phone when I really need it.

In this post, I'm going to share the one I'm currently using.

Features:
➡ Capacity: 12000mAh - Enough power to fully charge most smartphones up to eight times
➡ Outputs: 2 (2.4A and 1.0A)
➡ Input: 1 (2.1A)
➡ Compatible with phones, tablets, cameras, gaming devices, GPS devices, MP3 players & more
➡ Smart and sleek design
➡ Variety of colours to choose from - I chose blue

The charger comes with a USB cable and a small, soft bag

2 outputs and 1 input (looks like it's smiling awh :))

Pretty LED lights which indicate how much charge is left

I bought this in a shopping mall in Bangkok, Thailand. For some reason, portable chargers are more popular in East Asia than Western countries. I couldn't find any portable chargers in UK stores nor see anyone using it; but maybe I didn't look good enough. As far as I know, most electronic stores in East Asia sell them.

If you can't find portable chargers in your local stores, you can order online from websites such as Amazon and Ebay. There are so many varieties to choose from; look around and buy the one that you think will suit you best :)

If you're a traveler who owns electronic devices, I highly recommend you to buy a portable charger. I guarantee it will make your life a lot easier and more convenient! :)

"Whether it be for work, play or safety, always keep your portable charger handy so you'll never miss an important call, priceless photo or become stranded with NO battery life."

With love,

Nicole

  1. We must have twin minds LOL I just scheduled a post yesterday about my haul from last month, and I got the Cheero's Danbo portable charger in banana :D Please let me know if this brand is good or not >O< I might buy a second one just in case I lose one! The danbo one was super cute and it said I could charge up to 10x but the downside is that it's a bit bulky but it holds a lot of battery and doesn't let the battery leave when you're not using it!

Thanks for following me back :D

  5. I already have 2 powerbanks. The first one is a solar- powered charger that can charge up to 4 gadgets and the other one was a minis not- so useful charger. Hehe
Powerbanks are a must specially now that we rely on our phones and gadgets!

  6. I need this in my life. When travelling, I always secure a phone with me with loads of music I like. I always get bored with the chit chats so it's an escape. But then my phone easily gets drained so I would really save up for this :) Amazon has expensive ones maybe because of their suppliers, but eBay is bearable, i guess.

    1. For this charger, it says it should be able to charge a phone up to 8 times! So however long it needs to fully charge a phone 8x :)
