Highlights of My Summer Trip in Thailand: Beautiful Beaches, Sunsets & More

Friday, September 18, 2015

Soft, sandy beaches, coconut trees, gentle ocean waves, beautiful sunsets.

Ahh, Thailand ♥ My family went on a 7-day road trip to southern Thailand in July this year. We went to so many beautiful places and made plenty of wonderful memories together.

I took over 1,000 photos & videos (no joke), and I've picked the best photos to share with you guys here. (Trust me, it took a while haha). I hope you enjoy this photo diary!

KOH PAYAM
Koh Payam is probably the most gorgeous island in Thailand. It's my fave place from this trip! The sea water is crystal clear, and the sand is so soft & clean. Definitely a heaven on earth :')

It's not as popular as other beaches but that's the true beauty of this island. The natural environment isn't ruined by big resorts, night clubs and other human activities like most popular beaches in Thailand. You can enjoy nature at its finest here.

Check out this cute lil' hermit crab! There were so many of them scurrying on the beach.

The family - brother, me, sister, mom & dad!

Fun fact: there are no cars on this island. The roads are only big enough for motorcycles, bicycles & other small automobiles! Electricity is delivered by solar energy and private generators.

We stayed at The Blue Sky Resort. The staff was SO FRIENDLY AND WONDERFUL. The room was so pretty and the food was AMAZING. Just look at these mouthwatering desserts:

Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park - Phraya Nakhon Cave
We climbed up 430 meters of steep stairs. Our destination was Phraya Nakhon Cave which is "one of the most mystical and mysterious landmarks of Thailand". It was very tiring but so worth it! I'm so proud of my family, especially my parents who are both around 50 years old. XD

THE CAVE WAS BEAUTIFUL.
Kuha Karuhas Pavilion

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS
"All I want in life is a pet dragon." :P This magical photo was taken at a 3D art gallery in The Venezia, Hua Hin. I will dedicate another blog post just for this place. We took a lot of cool photos :3
We also rode on a gondola in The Venezia, Hua Hin. It's like Venice in Thailand hehe!
A gorgeous view of Ranong from Tinidee Hotel
Thai pink milk (ONE OF MY FAVE DRINKS EVER) and interesting noodles from "Debo" Noodle House, Hua Hin. Interesting because this is my first time seeing bacon & boiled egg in Thai noodles haha XD
Thai shaved ice - the perfect, sweet dessert to cool you down in the hot & humid weather (typical Thailand weather ;o;)
Me in my huge summer hat & dress hehe. Left: The Blue Sky Resort, Ranong / Right: Koh Payam pier
Villa Maroc, Pranburi
I would like to thank my wonderful parents who always take us to new, incredible places like these every year. Seriously, they're the best. I love you mom & dad! Shoutout to Willy & Dara, my lil' monkey siblings, who make these trips 10x more fun. Also shoutout to our driver, p' Yut, for driving so smoothly to these beautiful destinations~

Alright, that sums up the highlights of my summer trip in my home country :) I'm currently editing (ok tbh, procrastinating) a video diary for this trip. I will post them when I'm done and more photos in the near future!

Have you ever been to Thailand? How was your trip(s)? Feel free to share your experiences in the comments below :)
